Final year project - Illustrated book and series of three posters
Receive music presents the subject of music through a visual language inspired by religion to open a discussion on its relationship with our spiritual nature as humans; and its celebration of shared human experiences. The book discusses music in relation to religious concepts such as communion, meditation, and spirit. The artwork is based on the rose window/mandala motif common to both eastern and western faiths and evolves throughout the piece to incorporate the devices we use to listen to, share, and broadcast music.
